Here at Virginia Gates Photography, I believe that every photo is an investment: an investment of time, talent, and above all, memories. I don't take my responsibility as photographer lightly. I understand that when you hire me you want images carefully captured, edited, and returned in a timely manner the first time. It is my joy to be able to exceed your expectations and give you printed art that will last a lifetime. I believe in giving my clients photos that not only capture the moment but take their breath away. That being said, I want my style and work ethic to align with your expectations of your photos; I want us to be a great team! I take a limited number of clients each year to ensure that my clients receive my best work and all of my careful attention. 

Family packages begin with a session fee of $350 that includes 4 family members, additional family members may be included for an additional $25 each.

Newborn sessions begin at $475. Each session happens in the home where mama and babe are comfiest and last 2-3 hours.

Fresh 48 sessions begin at $250 and happen in hospital during baby’s first 2 days of life.

Children's milestone portrait sessions begin at $200, book three or more and lock in a discounted rate of $150 per session. 

Maternity sessions begin with a session fee of $475.

Engagement sessions begin with a session fee of $400.

Equestrian portrait and riding sessions begin with a session fee of $200.

Senior sessions begin with a session fee of $300.

Bridal Portraits or formal wedding/elopement portraits only (no ceremony coverage) are $400 per hour. This option is ideal for clients having courthouse weddings, beach elopements, or who have otherwise had to cancel their ceremonies due to Covid or related impediments.

Promotional business packages, branding, and commercial photography begin at $500 an hour.

Website development begins at $1500 and includes 2 hours of commercial photography.

Wedding and Elopement packages begin at $2000 for 4 hours of coverage and include 50 images per hour contracted. My ideal clients have small, intimate ceremonies and value a natural light documentarian style.

Beach sessions always include time to play in the water, so please plan accordingly for dry clothes afterwards. I believe that children especially should enjoy their time being photographed and that all sessions should be light hearted and fun! To me, all love is love worth documenting. I am eager to capture all types of families and couples regardless of gender expression, race, or sexual orientation.
